Our weekly player analysis is here to help you locate the best Fantasy Premier League players to own and captain for Gameweek 36. This week's analysis breaks down some of the key players to look out for in the Drafthound dream teams.
DCL scored again last round and has now returned attacking points in two of his last three GW’s since returning from injury.
He has managed 16 league goals and 39 shots on target this season which only Kane (46), Bamford (42) and Watkins (41) can best among FPL forwards.
With the Euros right around the corner, he’ll be motivated to end the season on a high and he has the schedule to do so against Sheffield Utd (H), Wolves (H), and (to some extent) Man City (A).
Everton has scored in all but 7 games this season with only Leicester (6), Tottenham (6), and Man City (3) being more consistent and this week they face Sheffield United who have the league’s worst clean sheets record (3) whilst also conceding the second-most goals (62).
Digne returned the points for his owners again last round and he has now done so in four of his last five GW’s.
He continues to show his impact at both ends of the pitch - and he has now returned either attacking or defensive points in 14 out of the 25 games he has played this season.
Everton face Sheffield United (H) next against whom they have won their last two games without conceding any goals.
The Blades also have the league’s worst record when it comes to both goals (18) and clean sheets (3) - and they have failed to score in 20 games this season with no other team faring worse.
Dallas scored his 8th goal of the season last round against Tottenham and thereby consolidated his position as the highest-scoring defender in the FPL (158).
The goal also means that Dallas has now equaled the best-ever goal record from a Fantasy Premier League defender in a single season, set by Lescott for Everton in 07/08.
He’s averaged 6.8 points over the last five GW’s and faces three of the bottom seven teams between now and the end of the season: Burnley (A), Southampton (A), West Brom (H).
Leeds won by an aggregate score of 9-0 in the reverse fixtures against those three teams.
This week Leeds face Burnley (A) who they also beat in the reverse fixture and the bookmakers expect them to repeat that feat again this round.
Agüero has returned 2 goals, 1 assist, and 19 points in his last four games - and should probably have had more...
Despite his shenanigans last week against Chelsea, Pep will probably still feature him a lot in the run-in as he has only 2 goals away from breaking the Premier League record for the most goals scored with one club.
No team has scored more goals than Man City this season (72) and they face Newcastle (A) next who have the league’s second-worst clean sheet record (5) whilst also conceding the fourth-most goals (58).
Man City have won their last three games against Newcastle with an aggregate score of 9:0 and Agüero has an impressive 15 goals and 4 assists in fifteen games against them.
Many players have the potential to be good captain picks but here are the ones on our watchlist.
The first candidate is Salah .
He has a plum fixture against West Brom who have conceded the most goals this season (68) and who have nothing to fight for after recently being relegated.
Salah is one of the bookmakers’ favorites to score this round and his team Liverpool are also the current odds-on favorites to score the most goals.
The second candidate is Dominic Calvert-Lewin .
He has returned attacking points in two of his last three GW’s and could easily extend that streak against Sheffield Utd (H) this round.
The Blades were the first team to be relegated this season which is unsurprising given the fact that they have conceded the second-most goals in the league (62) and kept the fewest amount of clean sheets (3).
Everton have been one of the most consistent goal-scoring teams this campaign - and this week DCL is once again their odds-on favorite to deliver the goals.
The last candidate and this week’s differential option is Agüero .
He’s chasing a Premier League goal record, his team is the highest-scoring in the league (72), and they face Newcastle (A) who have one league’s worst defensive records and nothing to play for at this point.
He also has an impressive record against the Magpies after scoring 15 goals and providing 4 assists in fifteen games against them - and if he starts the game he’ll be one of the bookmakers’ favorites to score!
